Good Works

Food for the Soul: Every Thursday, volunteers prepare and distribute meals for those in need in Richmond Hill. You can help in the kitchen and/or deliver meals around town. Call Richmond Hill United Methodist Church at (912) 756 - 2190.

Bryan County Children's Fund: Last year, more than 500 children received clothes and toys through BCCF. Makee a donation of money or time and make a difference (912) 756 - 3602.

Contribution Opportunity for Haitian Relief Efforts: Ford Plantation members Rich Grayson and Dario Quiros continue to participate in the humanitarian airlifts still underway from the United States to Haiti. There remains a continuing need for the cargo and personnel delivery capabilities that privately-owned airplanes such as Rich's and Dario's can provide. The cost of making these flights is not inconsequential. With fuel, hotels, food, and miscellaneous expenses, each trip costs in excess of $3,500. Rich and Dario are hoping to raise sufficient funds from the Ford membership to make some additional missions over the coming weeks. They anticipated continued requests through the month of March. More information, including links to additional information from Rich and Dario, the Bahamas Habitat web site, and photos, are included on the News & Info page. In this photo, Dario and Rich are at the Ft. Lauderdale Executive Airport, loading for a run with medical equipment and supplies to Cap Haitien, Haiti.
